Melissa McCants Azevedo

A Native Charlestonian, at the age 14 Melissa began her sports career with the Charleston Rainbows. As a student at The College of Charleston, she completed her work-study program in their Media Relations Department while earning a B.A. in Corporate Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and Studio Art.

In 1996, Melissa was named Community Relations Director for the RiverDogs. After ten years with the club, Melissa then spent six years as Sports Marketing Director for the College of Charleston where she was a major part in brand marketing and logo redesign as well as the opening of Patriots Points’ Baseball, Softball & Soccer Facility.

In 2004, Melissa pursued self-employment and launched a web-based business called Here’s The Deal, LLC and shortly after made her way back home to the RiverDogs where she is currently the Special Events Director. Melissa and her husband, Tyson, reside in West Ashley.

 

Kristen Wolfe

Kristen, who served as an intern with the Charleston RiverDogs during the 2011 season, is the club's new Special Events Manager.

A native of Virginia and a 2012 graduate of College of Charleston with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management/Business Administration.

Wolfe worked with the Cooper River Bridge Run in the event department.
